The P60 venue is easy to reach, whether by public transport or car. While it's relatively small, with a capacity of 600, only about 300 tickets were sold, leaving the back of the venue empty. But that didn't affect the atmosphere one bit! Fans were already chatting and singing along before the show, making new friends, while parents relaxed in the back or at the bar.
As the lights dimmed, the crowd erupted in cheers. A fun video played of the members playing American football, and soon they appeared from the sides, sending fans into an even louder frenzy. Dressed in a mix of red, black, and grey, they kicked things off with "X10," followed by "Odd Venture" and "Cruise" — all groovy tracks that showed off the group’s energy. The mics were definitely ON!
The crowd had the advantage of standing up close to the stage, so when the members stepped to the edge, fans were able to get an up-close view.
The group greeted the fans and mentioned that it was their second time performing in Amsterdam. Much of the conversation was in English, which the Dutch fans understood well — much appreciated! For the Korean parts, the translator did an excellent job.
Next, they performed "Red Sun" with the same high energy, before transitioning to "Juice" and then one of my personal favorites, "Ice Age." This song marked a strong debut for the group, and though their later tracks may not have gained as much attention, their performance was still top-notch.
Amsterdam holds a special place for the group, as it was the city of their first live performance. They debuted during the COVID-19 pandemic and were initially set to perform in the U.S., but that got postponed. As a result, the MCND 2022 Europe tour started here, with Amsterdam as the first stop! They shared that they were incredibly tired the day after but felt like they were “flying” during the show.
"Girl Friend" was next, accompanied by a soft petal background. This track gave the members a brief break from the intense dancing, allowing them to showcase their beautiful vocals.
Then came "Treasure," where they interacted more with the fans. BIC sent hearts to the crowd and asked them to wave from left to right, which everyone enthusiastically did.
The VCR featured a fun "sleepy song quiz," where the members listened to a children's song, took a 30-minute nap, and then had to sing it from memory. After several failed attempts, it was Huijun who finally succeeded with a bit of teamwork.
The members reappeared in a new set of outfits, maintaining the same color scheme. They kicked off the next segment with "Pop Star," a bubbly, happy tune that I’ll definitely be adding to my playlist! Then came "Hey You," which gave them another chance to interact with the fans.
The next song was "ADDD" from their latest single album, a fun track with great choreography.
The crowd clearly knew the setlist, and the members joked about switching things up because fans already knew what was coming next. Sure enough, they performed "Stereotypes" followed by "Spring." "Spring" is actually the Dutch word for 'jump,' and that's exactly what they did — the entire crowd jumped along!
Before the VCR, they performed "Beautiful," and the video focused on fun, non-choreographed dances to classic club songs, followed by a food segment.
The crowd roared as the members returned to the stage in white suits for "Out Louder." Then came "Na Na Na," with some of the most intense choreography of the night! Afterward, they took a brief break and chatted with the fans.
They spoke about coming back to Amsterdam and whether the fans wanted to see them again — obviously, the answer was a resounding yes! One fan yelled, “Don’t go home!” which had everyone laughing.
The group took a picture with the crowd and filmed a video, shouting “MCND!” while the crowd responded with “AMSTERDAM!”
The powerful beats of "Top Gang Vol. 2" filled the venue, followed by "#MOOD," two high-energy songs that had everyone hyped. After thanking the fans, the members left the stage, but we all knew an encore was coming.
For the encore, they returned in black outfits and kicked off with "Ice Age" once again. The members took turns grabbing fans’ phones to record themselves, before wrapping up with "Player." The crowd jumped along with such energy that it felt like the venue might explode!
Finally, it was time to say goodbye. The members made their final greetings, thanked everyone, and took their time waving to the fans.
A huge thank you to MCND and Envol Prod for an unforgettable evening!
