[Concert Recap] DKB in Amsterdam

Updated: 6 days ago

Photography by Tessa On the gray afternoon of September 29th, BB's (DKB's Besties) lined up for the Amsterdam stop of the Dark Strange tour. The weather didn't faze the fans; the queue was lively and smoothly organized due to official numbering according to tickets.

The opening VCR did its job of hyping up the crowd. It built the anticipation even more, and when DKB finally entered the stage, the fans filled the venue with cheers. Starting with 'What The Hell' and 'TAEKWONDO' got the energy up right away - the high-energy songs and choreo started off the night on level 10. Spoiler: it didn't go down all night.

After catching their breath, they introduced themselves and announced it was GK's birthday today. The BB's made sure to give him some extra cheers. Continuing with 'Ghost ridah (Wow Wow)', they set the stage on fire once again. Afterward, it was time for the first subunit consisting of E-chan, GK, and Heechan, who performed a cover of NCT U's

'Misfit'. At the end, all the members joined on stage for a combined choreo.

Opening the second part of the show, they came out in jeans and white button-ups for a more casual look. During 'Curious' and 'More than a 100 reasons', the members interacted with the fans throughout. They brought the energy back up with 'LET'S DANCE' and 'Go Up' and their playful choreos - the fans were singing and dancing along. After these two songs, they expressed their gratitude to the BB's for coming out to see them in Amsterdam and made sure the energy stayed high. The crowd loudly assured them that they were ready to party.

They took us on a space trip with 'Star' and the cover of BOYNEXTDOOR's 'So Let's Go See The Stars'. The slightly less energetic songs didn't dampen the party vibe in the room, and fans shouted along loudly while DKB took them through the galaxy. Besides their own songs, they performed a variety of covers including the TikTok viral 'Water' by Tyla, 'Industry Baby' by Lil Nas X, and NCT U's 'Baggy Jeans'. They closed this section with their song 'Flirting X'.

Between sections, several solo/subunit stages were performed. E-chan performed an unreleased song he had worked on. Harry June and Junseo performed a dance stage to 'Central Cee' by Doja Cat, and Heechan performed 'Watch me burn' by Michele Morrone.

The encore consisted of emotional songs like 'I need Love' and 'Real love', and of course their song written for the fans, 'Bestie'.

All in all, DKB tore up the stage in Amsterdam and managed to party with their fans throughout the evening, which was no surprise given their energy and love for their fans.

We hope to see DKB back in Amsterdam soon!

Thank you so much to Studio PAV and Brave Entertainment for having us, it was an absolute blast!
